Here at the Teton Hammock Company things are getting pretty exciting these days. Not only have we developed the BEST hammock tent system in the world, but now we're ready to start dramatically increasing our production capabilities! So to help us be able to bring the best hammock camping system to a LOT more people, we're launching a Kickstarter campaign in the next few weeks. Don't worry, we'll let you know when it launches.
In case you're not familiar with the way Kickstarter works, it basically allows us to pre-sell our gear during a specific period of time. This gives us the funds we need to purchase materials and supplies to seriously increase our production levels. It's called "crowdfunding" and it's a brilliant way for small and start-up companies to be able to prove the demand for a product BEFORE creating the inventory. This reduces our risk and allows us to grow organically. If we have potential customers who don't mind waiting a few months to receive their products, but will get them at much better prices, they can sponsor our campaign--it's a WIN-WIN for everyone.
Another great thing about crowdfunding is that we can throw in lots of additional goodies and swag with our funding packages--stuff that you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. We're super excited about some of the stuff we're cooking up to give away to our sponsors!
Not only that, but each sponsor has the right to say you were there in the very beginning and helped Teton Hammock Company become an internationally recognized brand. Who knows what other cool stuff we'll come up with? Well, we have some pretty freaking awesome plans and our sponsors will be the first to hear about everything we do as part of our inner circle of early supporters.
